Vintage Leaves with Going Places DSP

I made some retirement predictions when making these cards and I’m glad to say I wasn’t 100% correct. I knew that Timeless Textures was sticking around, as Stampin’ Up!® had already tipped us off about that one, but I feared the Vintage Leaves and dies would retire; happily they are sticking around for another year at least.  I expected the Antique Brads to retire and, sadly, they are not only retiring but sold out in Europe.

I expected the Going Places DSP to retire as the whole DSP range is invariably replaced every year. But I also thought Guy Greetings could go as it has been around a while – but I’m glad it’s staying as it’s such a useful set.

So, two out of four isn’t too bad!

The card on the left was the Make & Take at a recent party. We stamped Delightful Dijon onto Hello Honey cardstock (still available as of last night!) and cut it out using the leaf dies. The Going Places paper was cut into strips and arranged into panels , which we topped with a simple banner.

I also showed the card on the right, which is a slightly ‘stepped up’ version; this features some minimal distressing using the Timeless Textures stamp set, plus some linen thread and the lovely Antique Brad.

Both were sort-of CASEd from this project by Mary Deatherage
